Desc: The official Senior Championship presented by the Florida Chess Association (FCA), the state affiliate of the US Chess Federation) The FCA is the only US Chess Affiliate that can crown a nationally recognized Florida Champion. ===================== OPEN TO PLAYERS AGE 50+ YEARS; Florida Residents Only Eligible to represent Florida at National Tournament of Senior State Champions ===================== 4-ROUND SWISS SYSTEM EVENT IN TWO SECTIONS: OPEN, U1800 ===================== TIME CONTROL: All Rounds-> G/90 inc. 10 ===================== ROUNDS: SATURDAY: 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM; SUNDAY: 9:30 AM and 2:00 PM ===================== BYES: One (1) Half-Point Bye allowed but must be requested 24 hours prior to Round 1. ===================== ENTRY FEE: $40, PayPal, Cash or Check by 3/15, $45 thereafter ===================== PRIZES: (Based on a total of 50 Entries) OPEN: 1st Place $400 2nd $200 U1800: 1st Place $300 2nd $100 Trophy presented to top finisher in each section. Tiebreaker within the Swiss/Sys program may be required.
