Name: 5th Annual John G. Harris Championship
Desc:
Format: A three section, USCF rated 5-round tournament. Open to University of Florida students, faculty, and alumni as well as the general public! Trophies to top finishers.
Lunch: Subway catering will be provided around 1:00pm. Chips and refreshments will also be available.
*First come first serve for ~100 players.
Schedule: 10am - 11:30am - 1:30pm - 3pm - 4:30pm
Time Control: Game in 25 minutes with a 5 second increment per move (G/25; +5)
Entry Fees:
$25 on or before 02/08, $35 after, $50 onsite after 02/15 9:00am.
*Free entry for USCF 2200+ with $25 prize deduction (contact us by email if you qualify).
Unrated Playing Up Fee: $25 for any unrated player wishing to play in the Open section. No fee for other sections
Unrated prize limit of $100 except in Open Section.
Prizes ($1,800 based on 100 players):
Open Section: $350 (gtd.) - $150 - $100 - $50
- U1900: $75 - $50
U1600 Section: $200 - $100 - $50
- U1300: $75 - $50
U1000 Section: $150 - $100 - $50
- U700/Top Unrated: $75 - $50
- Top Scholastic (K-12): $75 - $50
Byes: 2 half point byes available, request before the beginning of Round 3.
This event requires parents, guardians, or teachers to be responsible for the care, custody, or control of the minor participants, The University of Florida will not provide supervision.
