Desc: Welcome to the A La Cart Orlando Chess Festival! A La Cart - SoDo and the Orlando Regional Chess Alliance (ORCA) will join forces on Sunday, February 15, 2026 to deliver the A La Cart Orlando Chess Festival.

ORCA will be facilitating different chess events throughout the day. Check out the schedule below! And while you're at A La Cart, be sure to check out the bar and all the great food trucks stationed there!

12:00 - Bughouse Tournament - FREE!
Bring a teammate and come participate in this beloved team chess variant. If you don't have a partner, just come on your own and we'll match you up with someone! And we'll explain the rules for new players before we start.
1:30 - Master Lecture - FREE!
One of Orlando's best players will provide a free lecture for all with their unique tips and tricks to master the chessboard.
2:30 - Human Game of Chess - FREE!
Admit it. You've always wondered what it would be like to actually be on the board in the thick of combat. Here's your chance! Sign up at the event and you'll be able to take your place on the 64 squares. This is a great activity for kids!
4:00 - Blitz Chess Tournament - $10 Donation to ORCA

We'll end the day with a fun and friendly blitz tournament. This tournament will NOT be rated by the USCF, but if you have a USCF or FIDE ID number, please provide it to us for pairing purposes. Top performers in both the Open and Scholastic sections will win medals.
