Blitz Tournament: There will be a $5 blitz tournament after the main tournament with an Open section and a non-USCF-rated section. Free entry for the non-USCF section. The tournament starts at 6:45 pm and uses a time control of G/3;+5, with 7 rounds and Swiss pairings.
Prize fund:
The non-USCF section is for players without USCF memberships. On-site registration is allowed.
On March 29th, 2025, there will be a 4-round USCF-rated chess tournament at the University of North Georgia, Dahlonega Campus.
Time control: G/45; d5.
Round times: 11:00 am, 1:15 pm, 3:00 pm, 4:45 pm.
Prize fund: 75% of the entry fees. Entry fee is $15. Two sections: Championship and U1100. Sections may be combined or added if needed.
Championship section: 1st place: 30%, 2nd place: 20%
U1100 section: 1st place: 15%, 2nd place: 10%
Some equipment will be provided, but you are welcome to play on your own boards. Please bring clocks.
On-site registration is allowed but requires a badge from the convention. The event will be held at the UNG Convocation Center, 180 Alumni Dr, Dahlonega, GA 30533.
