            Held on the historic downtown waterfront in Port Townsend. Restaurants, shops, a park, the beach, a playground, and parking within easy walking distance. 
Format: Unrated;  4-round Swiss;  G30 +0
Entry Fee: $15 
 REGISTRATION CLOSES Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 8pm;  No on-site registration
 
Check-in: 8:30 - 9:30 am  -   First game10:00 am
Rounds: 10:00am; 11:00am; 1:15pm; 2:15pm.
Sections: Elem 3-5; MS 6-8; HS 9-12
 
NOTE: Depending on the number of players in each section, sections may be combined or players moved between sections to ensure 4 rounds.
School Teams:  If three or more players from the same school are registered it will be a "school team". The school will be eligible for the Top School Team Tournament Trophy. The highest total points for the top three school players combined (+ tiebreakers) will determine the school winner.
Points:  Win = 1; Loss = 0;  Draw = ½;  Bye = ½ if odd number of players requires byes.  Will use the chessmanager.com tie-break system. 
Prizes: Top 3 players in each section get US Chess Federation Tournament Chess Set; Top School Team = Tournament Trophy.
Equipment:   Players are requested to bring a tournament chess set (vinal roll-up board and pieces) and clock (smartphone apps are OK).  We will have a few extra available at the event but not enough for everyone.
