Players that register on-site after 2:00 pm will get a 1/2 point bye for Round 1 Prizes Open: 1st Place $100, 2nd $75, 3rd $50 U1800: 1st Place $75, 2nd $50, 3rd $25 Tournament Schedule 1st Rd: 3:00 PM (Rounds 2 - 7 will be played one after the other) Blitz Tournament Format Welcome to our Blitz tournament! Here’s how the competition will be structured: • Stage 1: Swiss Rounds • The tournament begins with 7 rounds of Blitz using a Swiss system. • At the end of these rounds, the top 4 players advance to the knockout stage. • Stage 2: Knockout Phase Semifinals: • 1st place vs. 4th place • 2nd place vs. 3rd place • Matches are best of three—the first player to win two games advances to the final. Finals & Third-Place Match: • Winners of the semifinals play for the championship, while the losers compete for third place. Tiebreaker Rule: • In case of a tie in any knockout match, an Armageddon game will determine the winner. Get ready for an exciting competition—may the best player win!
