Walk-in Registration: 1:15p
Round 1 starts at 2:00p. Subsequent rounds will begin as soon as the prior round completes with a short break after round 3. Each round will have two games between the players with each playing once as white and once as black. Everyone will play 10 total games. Awards will be presented after round 5. Estimated finish time is 5:30p.
Byes: One ½ point bye (in each game of the double round) allowed. Must be requested prior to round 2 being paired and cannot be changed

• Open & U1600 USCF Rated
• Scholastic USCF Rated
• Unrated (all ages)
- Players in USCF Rated sections must have a paid, active USCF membership.

Entry Fees with Pre-registration:
Open and U1600 Rated: $25
Scholastic Rated: $15
Unrated (all ages): $10
- All entry fees will be $5 more at the door

Prizes:
Open and U1600 rated sections A minimum of 60% of Open and U1600 section entry fees will be returned as cash prizes to top performers
Scholastic rated section Medals will be awarded to top performers in the scholastic section
Unrated section: Medals will be awarded to top performers in the unrated section
- These tie break systems will be used for non-cash prize determination if needed: Modified Median, Solkoff, Cumulative, Cumulative opponent's score

Important Additional Information:
• Attendance will be limited to 60 total players so please register in advance to guarantee a spot.
• Scholastic Rated section entrants must be in grades K - 12 and rated under 1300 USCF. Over 1300 rated students should register for the U1600 or Open section. Students rated between 1100 and 1300 may choose either Scholastic or U1600.
• All players in the rated sections (Open, U1600, and Scholastic) must have an active paid USCF membership to play. You can obtain or renew USCF membership with tournament registration online or at the door. Or purchase directly from uschess.org. USCF membership rates are currently $20/year for youths under 19, $27/year for young adults 19-24, $45/year for adults, and $40/year for seniors over 65. Prices will increase in 2025.
• The current Month’s USCF Rating Supplement will be used for pairings and prizes. The highest of blitz, quick, or regular rating may be used at the tournament director's discretion.
• Open & U1600 rated sections will be combined if there are fewer than 6 players in either section.
• Minimum rating to register for Open section: 1450
• The Unrated section will follow USCF rules, but will not be submitted to the USCF nor require membership.
• Claims of insufficient losing chances are not allowed
• Players in all sections are expected to bring their own regulation chess sets and clocks
• Photos maybe be taken during the event and shared on the club's website and/or social media accounts
