Name: Emory University Spring Classic Quad  
Desc: Come and play at the second annual Emory University Spring Classic Quad! This is a USCF rated Quad Tournament, with FREE entry for ALL participants! The Emory University Chess Club puts on these quad tournaments twice a year, once in the fall semester and once in the spring. A quad works by grouping all the participants into groups of 4. Starting with the top 4 rated players, and working all the way down the list. If there is a number of players not divisible by 4, then the bottom 2 sections, which will be anywhere between 5 and 7 players, will be a Swiss section, where pairings in the first round are dependent on rating and pairings in subsequent rounds are dependent on score. Being a quad, there will be 3 rounds, and the time control is game in 60 with a 10 second increment. This time control will also be the case for the possible Swiss section. Round 1 will start 10:00 am, with round 2 starting at 12:45 pm and round 3 starting at 3:30 pm. There will be multiple dining options on campus within walking distance, including food trucks, the Emory dining hall, and the Emory emporium.
